Job summary

ATKG is seeking a growth‑oriented Forensics Manager who will lead litigation, forensics, dispute resolutions, and business valuations. You will oversee engagements from planning to execution, manage staff, and work with clients and attorneys to deliver high‑quality analyses.

The ideal candidate has a CPA with ABV/CVA credentials and 3–5 years of direct valuation, forensic, and advisory experience, including Texas family law context.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CPA licensure preferred with ABV or CVA credentials.
• 3–5 years of direct experience delivering business valuations, transaction advisory, litigation and forensic services.
• Experience with business valuations in Texas Family Law, Estate and Gift Taxes.

Responsibilities

• Performs technical review of workpapers and reports across forensics, valuations, and litigation.
• Reviews valuation and forensic analyses, including interpretation of financial statements and expert exhibits.
• Manages engagements including planning, scoping, budgeting, and execution.
• Ensures accuracy of information and timely preparation of workpapers and reports.
• Collaborates with discovery team to reconcile documents and data for court submissions.
• Provides on‑the‑job training to department staff.
• Develops solutions to anticipated project questions and problems.
• Mentors staff and participates in recruiting and performance evaluations.

Who You Are

The Forensics Manager performs litigation, forensics, dispute resolutions, and business valuations. Manages litigation engagements, fraud engagements, and valuation engagements. Works with clients and attorneys. Responsible for client work and lead and develop staff team members for their personal growth and firm growth.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Performs technical review of workpapers and reports.
• Reviews valuation and forensic analysis, including interpretation of financial statements and expert witness exhibits.
• Manages engagements including planning, scoping, budgeting, and execution.
• Takes responsibility for accuracy of information and work in all aspects of a client assignment from beginning to end.
• Works with discovery team to reconcile documents and data produced in preparation for submission and proposals to courts, attorneys, and clients.
• Provides on-the-job training to other department staff.
• Anticipates and analyzes problem areas and questions that will arise during the project and recommend solutions.
• Keeps Senior Manager/Partner informed of all important developments and work with the team to document findings and case issues.
• Developing knowledge of the relevant statutory and family codes and their applicability to accounting principles in performance of forensic accounting.
• Supervises litigation staff and seniors and provides on-the-job training.
• Works to develop responsible, trained staff by assisting in recruiting, performance evaluations, developing training aids, and acting as an instructor in professional development programs.
• Assumes responsibility for smooth flow of litigation process to assure accurate, complete, and timely preparation of all workpapers and reports.
• Participates in firm’s practice development efforts through involvement with referral sources, community, and industry activities.
• Maintains client confidentiality.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• CPA licensed with ABV, CVA or other valuation industry credentials preferred.
• 3-5 years of direct experience delivering business valuations, transaction advisory, litigation and forensic services with an accounting, litigation, or consulting firm.
• Prior experience with business valuations in the context of Texas Family Law, Estate and Gift Taxes.
