Job summary

Stout is seeking an Associate for Forensics and Compliance in the United States, with location options in Washington, DC or Philadelphia. You will support consulting engagements involving commercial disputes, DOJ matters, and perform financial analyses, economic damages calculations, and modeling to deliver rigorous insights.

You will analyze large datasets, prepare expert reports and data visualizations, and collaborate with senior consultants to communicate findings clearly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related discipline.
• 2–4+ years of relevant professional experience in accounting, finance, economics, litigation consulting, forensic accounting, fraud investigation, healthcare analytics, or public accounting.
• Experience performing complex data analyses using SQL is required; familiarity with Python, SAS, Stata, or R is a plus.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including strong financial modeling and data analysis capabilities.
• CPA, CFE, or other relevant professional designation is preferred; candidates actively pursuing certification are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Support engagement leaders and senior team members in executing project workplans, analytical tasks, and client deliverables.
• Perform financial modeling and quantitative analysis to support economic damages calculations and other litigation-related analyses.
• Write and optimize SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyze structured datasets used in case analyses and modeling.
• Conduct advanced analysis of large datasets, including healthcare claims data, financial records, and transactional information.
• Prepare clear and compelling expert reports, presentations, and data visualizations that communicate analytical findings effectively.
