Job summary

EFI Global is seeking an experienced Forensic Structural Engineer to join our Montana teams in Billings, Helena, Bozeman. The role requires hands-on field investigations, root-cause analysis, and close collaboration with insurers and litigators.

The ideal candidate has a PE license in Montana and at least six years of experience in structural or forensic engineering, with capability to testify as an expert and deliver detailed reports. Travel to sites and outdoor work are expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university required.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license in Montana required; multi-state licensing preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Survey losses and loss scenes at residential and commercial buildings.
  • Conduct investigations to determine the scope of damage and document findings.
  • Investigate and assess damages due to failures and determine origin of failure for insurers and litigation support.
  • Provide expert opinions and serve as an expert witness in court and depositions.
