Job summary

Washington State Department of Social and Health Services is seeking a Psychologist to work at the Special Commitment Center on McNeil Island. The role involves leading evidence-based treatment groups, providing 1:1 interventions, and contributing to treatment team meetings within a forensic/mental health setting.

The position offers opportunities for supervision, potential in-training for those not yet licensed, and the chance to advance clinical leadership with a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in psychology from an accredited program.
• One year of post-doctoral psychology experience.
• Or Psychologist 4 track for WA licensed candidates in this field.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead evidence-based treatment groups.
• Provide individualized 1:1 intervention to clients.
• Attend and contribute to resident treatment team meetings and debriefs.
• Administer and score testing to inform treatment recommendations.
• Complete electronic documentation of treatment sessions and reports.
• Develop case conceptualizations and individualized treatment plans.
• May participate in depositions and testify as a fact-witness if required.
