MindCare Solutions is seeking a Forensic/Correctional Psychiatrist to oversee mental health services in a Gainesville, Florida facility. This on-site, part-time role focuses on comprehensive assessments, medication management, and treatment planning for incarcerated residents.

You will collaborate with psychologists, social workers, nurses and staff to ensure high-quality care, regulatory compliance, and detailed documentation, including discharge planning and reporting.

Qualificações

• Board Certified or Eligible (within 1 year of residency completion) in Psychiatry.
• Active and unrestricted license in the state of FL.
• Forensic/correctional psychiatrist experience preferred.
• Active Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification.
• Active FL DEA registration.
• Valid Driver's License.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments of incarcerated individuals.
• Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications.
• Create individualized treatment plans including medications and psychotherapy.
• Prepare progress reports; provide discharge recommendations; assist with statistics and reports.
• Maintain medical records and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
• Provide crisis psychiatric care and manage emergencies.
• Collaborate with psychologists, social workers, nurses and correctional staff for integrated care.
