Job summary

Synectics Inc. is seeking a Forensic Processing Technician to support the daily operations of the Forensic Toxicology Processing Department. The role includes receiving and sorting specimens, data entry, and maintaining LIMS records with strict adherence to safety and quality standards.

The position requires a High School diploma and prior lab experience is preferred. Candidates should be able to sit or stand for long periods and work Tuesday through Saturday, 12:30pm–9:00pm CST, wearing PPE as

Responsibilities

• Process routine daily samples in the Forensic Toxicology Processing Department.
• Handle specimen receipt, sorting, and data entry.
• Perform Maxilog data entry and LIMS updates.
• Process urine specimens for regulated and non-regulated testing.
• Scan/imaging of custody and control forms and maintain PPE.

Job Description

• This position reports to the Supervisor, Forensic Processing and is responsible for the routine daily sample processing of the Forensic Toxicology Processing Department.
• This individual is accountable for all specimen receipt, sorting, data entry and work within the forensic processing department.
• Has a preliminary but functional understanding of the QTN Lab Information System
• Sort specimens by source (hair, oral fluid, urine, etc) and work list
• Completes Maxilog Data Entry
• Understands and adheres to strict forensic practices
• Capable of processing urine specimens for regulated and non-regulated testing independently
• Adheres to company policies and procedures
• Proficient with scanning/imaging all custody and control forms
• Capable of discarding negative specimens
• Performs flexilog on routine urine specimens at 70 CCFs per hour
• List up to 10 lbs. Work with open and processing urine, specimens.
• Entering information into our LIMS system. Wear PPE.

Qualification

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Work Experience: Prior laboratory experience preferred
• Able to sit or stand for long periods,
• Work in a laboratory environment and adhere to safety requirements,
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal,
• Practical knowledge of computer systems,
• Commitment to Customer Satisfaction.
