Applied Technical Services, LLC is seeking an Evidence Technician to support the Forensics Department in managing the receipt, handling, storage, and disposition of evidence and property in accordance with established policies and procedures.

The role requires strong organizational skills, integrity, and the ability to maintain chain-of-custody. Responsibilities include intake photography, inventory, transportation coordination, staff training, and on-call after-hours support.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in warehouse, property, or inventory management.
  • Knowledge of warehouse documentation standards and chain-of-custody basics.
  • Ability to lift and transfer up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee receipt, handling, and storage of evidence and property.
  • Maintain chain-of-custody documentation for all transactions.
  • Photograph evidence during intake and maintain accurate records.
  • Coordinate transportation of evidence to testing laboratories.
  • Maintain clean, organized processing equipment and vehicles.
  • Provide support during inspections, audits, and investigations.
  • Train staff on evidence handling and department protocols.
  • Coordinate evidence destruction events and records.
  • Occasional after-hours on-call support.
