Position Title: Forensic Evaluator

Reports to: Director of Clinical Operations

Department: Behavioral Health

FLSA Status: Fee-For-Service/Non-exempt

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Forensic Evaluator is an integral team member of the Behavioral Health (BH) department and the agency. This position is responsible primarily for providing forensic evaluations as recommended by family court. The Forensic Evaluator is in the critical position of assessing for child and family needs, parental mental health needs, resource needs and presenting the information to the court. Additionally, the Forensic Evaluator may get called to provide court testimony. Therefore, a very important part of the Forensic Evaluator’s role is formulating appropriate recommendations and sharing ideas related to families with the court.

EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS
  • Current PA license as LPC, LMFT, LCSW or LSW
  • Non-licensed with 5+ years forensic experience considered
EXPERIENCE
  • Experience with conducting and writing comprehensive evaluations and assessments in report format.
  • Two years verified experience working in forensic systems with underprivileged populations

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed in an office and community-based setting. Requires the ability to sit and stand for extended periods, utilize a computer, and travel locally as needed.

Ensures compliance with all JJC’s policies and procedures, including confidentiality and reporting suspected abuse in accordance with CPSL, 23 Pa.C.S. § § 6301—6385, and JJC policies and procedures
