Abbott in Gretna, LA, seeks a Forensic Scientist Data Review II for toxicology operations. You will operate GC/MS and LC-MS/MS instruments, perform data review, and support QA/QC within regulatory guidelines.

Role includes handling samples under SAMHSA/DOT rules, performing extractions, and maintaining documentation in a controlled laboratory setting. Night shift availability is required.

Qualifications

• BS degree in science or equivalent related field.
• Advanced understanding of analytical techniques and procedures.
• Advanced understanding of laboratory instrumentation.
• Knowledge of SAMHSA, CAP-FUDT, and other regulatory certification requirements.
• Familiarity with Laboratory Information Systems (LIS) and lab computer systems.

Responsibilities

• Operate GC/MS and LC-MS/MS instruments for confirmatory testing per SAMHSA/DOT guidelines.
• Perform initial data review and QC duties.
• Prepare and extract samples for GC/MS and LC-MS/MS confirmations.
• Document QC validation results and maintain equipment/supplies.
• Adhere to security procedures and company policies.
