Forensic Civil/Structural Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Forensic Civil/Structural Engineer to join our dynamic team. Salary: $100,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Conduct detailed forensic investigations and analyses of various structural failures involving buildings, bridges, and other structural systems.
  • Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to set standards.
  • Perform damage assessment evaluations to determine causes of structural failures.
  • Ensure compliance with building codes and industry standards in all investigation and design reviews.
  • Utilize and interpret computational software and tools for structural analysis, including MathCAD and AutoCAD.
  • Prepare comprehensive forensic engineering reports, clearly documenting investigation findings.
  • Interface directly with clients, providing insights and updates throughout the investigation process.
  • Conduct lab and field tests on construction materials to assess compliance and performance under different conditions.

Minimum Position Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
  • Current Licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) status.
  • Proficiency in forensic engineering software applications, e.g., MathCAD, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
  • Ability to think critically and independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively.
  • Strong communication skills, capable of articulating complex technical details to non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degrees or certifications in civil/structural engineering or related fields.
  • Over two years of direct forensic analysis experience in civil or structural engineering settings.
  • Experience in litigation and providing expert witness testimony.
  • Prior experience in industrial, manufacturing, construction, or design engineering projects.
