Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Decision making with high responsibility impacting child safety.
• Provide expert consultation to community professionals on investigations and assessments of child abuse allegations.
• Obtain crucial forensic evidence for criminal and dependency court cases involving child abuse and neglect.
• Provide specialized services including photographic documentation of injuries and videotaped forensic interviews.
• Participate in 24/7 on-call duties for emergency response and respond in-person to Children’s Advocacy Centers and hospitals.
• Maintain timely documentation in hospital charts for suspected child abuse cases.
• Provide depositions and testify as expert witnesses in court.
• Perform comprehensive psychosocial assessments of at-risk families.
• Facilitate multi-disciplinary crisis planning sessions.
• Coordinate examinations of children reported for abuse with CPT providers.
• Serve as a resource for case consultation on suspected abuse cases.
• Conduct or participate in child and family interviews to assess contributing factors.
• Create written reports with recommendations to reduce future harm.
• Maintain attendance per policies; ensure compliance with ADA, FMLA, and local standards.
• Maintain cooperative relationships with hospitals and community agencies.
• Accurately document all case activity to ensure patient safety and integrity of CPT work.
• Case coordinators must type or dictate reports and input data into the data reporting system.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
