Job summary

Charles River Associates is seeking a Billing Specialist responsible for accurate and timely invoicing for Officers in Charge and Project Managers in a professional services setting. You will handle drafts, approvals, follow-ups, and electronic submissions, while tracking insurance claims and maintaining strong client communications.

The role requires 2–3 years in time & materials billing with Oracle/MS Office proficiency, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field required.
• 2-3 years of experience in time & materials management and fixed price billing, including e-billing.
• Proficient with MS Office and Oracle (or similar billing system).
• Able to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare draft invoices for delivery, including approvals, follow-up, adjustments, and final submission.
• Collect and track insurance carrier claim information.
• Coordinate with EAs, OICs, and PMs regarding project financials.
• Create and issue weekly financial reports to clients, counsel, and insurers.
• Submit monthly and quarterly Oracle forecasts in a high-volume setting.
• Assist with accounts receivable and collections as needed.
• Resolve billing issues and ad hoc requests as they arise.
