Job summary

Placements24 seeks a highly skilled Forensic Accountant to join our client’s investigations unit in Welkom. You will uncover financial fraud, analyze records, preserve evidence, and prepare expert reports for legal proceedings.

You will work with law enforcement and internal teams, bring strong investigative techniques, and testify when required. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting and CFE are preferred; solid experience with forensic software and data analysis is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Auditing, or related field.
• Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) is highly preferred.
• Significant experience in forensic accounting, fraud investigation, or financial crime analysis.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough investigations into alleged financial fraud, embezzlement, and other illicit activities.
• Analyze complex financial data, electronic records, and transaction histories to identify patterns and anomalies.
• Gather and preserve evidence in a manner that complies with legal standards for admissibility.
• Prepare comprehensive and objective forensic accounting reports detailing findings and methodologies.
• Assist legal counsel in case preparation, providing expert testimony in court when required.
• Collaborate with law enforcement agencies and internal stakeholders during investigations.
