Job summary

Sedgwick is seeking a forensic accounting professional to prepare calculations and reports for FEMA-related claims, business income loss, and other losses. You will review financial evidence, prepare analyses, and assist adjusters with status updates while ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role involves presenting data to clients, supporting litigation with analytical data, and potentially traveling. A CPA/CFE is preferred, and a Bachelor's in accounting/finance/economics is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or economics from an accredited college or university required.
• CPA or CFE license preferred.
• Six years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Experience in Tax/Audit within the Business/Finance industry preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews and investigates financial evidence.
• Prepares written analyses, memos, and reports.
• Analyzes losses and claim estimates.
• Works with adjusters on status updates.
• Prepares large property damage claims for FEMA disaster grants.
• Presents to clients for Forensic Accounting Services.
• Prepares analytical data for litigation and serves as an expert witness in court cases.
• Reviews claim evaluations and reports to ensure proper calculations.
• Ensures compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Communicates with the insured or claimants when necessary.
