Job summary

TelCom Construction, LLC is seeking a Telecom Aerial Foreman to lead on-site installation, maintenance and repair of aerial telecom systems, ensuring safety and regulatory compliance. You will guide crew members and coordinate tasks to meet customer requirements.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, at least 3 years in related work, and a valid state driver’s license with the ability to pass a DOT physical. Expect travel for storm response as needed.

• 3+ years of related work experience.
• Valid state driver’s license with clean record; able to pass DOT medical exam.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, maintenance, and repair of aerial telecom systems per codes and customer requirements.
• Safely operate bucket truck, digger derrick, and excavators on job sites.
• Ensure safe work areas and traffic flow; perform work at heights using appropriate fall protection.

What You’ll Do

• Ensure successful installation of fiber/telecom cables, materials, or support structures according to relevant codes, regulations, and customer requirements.
• Safely use equipment like bucket truck, digger derrick, excavators
• Ensure work areas are safe and that traffic flows smoothly while on the job
• Safely work at heights using climbing hooks and ladders
• Safely use hand tools and power tools like wrenches, drills, and saws
• Provide guidance and support to others as needed
• Be ready to travel for storm response on short notice
• Complete daily work orders and crew checks to document productivity and safety compliance
• Other duties as assigned

What You’ll Need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or relevant work experience
• Valid state driver's license (cannot be Provisional), including an acceptable driving record
• Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
• At least 3 years of related work experience
• To be a certified pole climber or be willing to become certified
• CDL Class “A” driver license is preferred

Physical Abilities & Exposures

• Routinely: work with arms above shoulder level, at heights in confined spaces and alone in remote locations, operate vehicle and heavy machinery, use ladder, bend, stoop, stand, walk, climb stairs and lift objects greater than 55 pounds
• Occasionally: use keyboard and mouse
