Job summary

Loenbro on-site Foreman role leading a craft crew to execute the daily plan. You translate the plan into installed work, assign tasks, stage tools and materials, and maintain quality at installation while upholding safety standards.

You will coordinate with adjacent crews, supervise timekeeping and material requisitions, and mentor journeymen and apprentices under the Superintendent’s guidance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' craft experience with demonstrated leadership; journeyman-level competence.
• Able to read drawings and interpret installation details.
• Able to plan a shift, stage a work face and hold a crew to productivity.
• MSHA Part 46/48; valid 5000-23; OSHA 30; first aid/CPR.
• Competent person designations as applicable to the crew's work.
• Qualified rigger and signal person where applicable; equipment operator certifications as required.
• MSHA Part 46/48 training with a valid certificate.

Job Summary

Owns a crew and the work face. The Foreman turns the day's plan into installed work: assigns tasks, leads the pre-task plan, stages tools and material, sets the pace, and holds the quality standard at the point of installation. The Foreman is the closest supervisor to the hazard and the closest supervisor to the cost — every hour and every quantity the company bills starts with what the Foreman reports.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Safety at the Work Face

• Lead the pre-task plan / JHA with the crew every shift, before work begins — a genuine hazard conversation, not a signature exercise.
• Verify the crew's training, PPE, permits (confined space, hot work, excavation, LOTOTO) and equipment condition before work starts.
• Conduct daily equipment and work-area examinations; document them.
• Stop work immediately for any unsafe act or condition and notify the Superintendent. No reprisal, ever.
• Coach crew behavior in the moment; report near misses and incidents immediately.

Daily Execution

• Assign tasks to individual crew members and direct the work through the shift.
• Execute the weekly work plan assigned by the Superintendent; report obstacles the same shift, not at the end of the week.
• Stage tools, consumables, equipment and material ahead of the crew so the crew works instead of waiting.
• Coordinate at the work face with adjacent crews and subcontractors.

Cost & Reporting

• Report daily labor hours by cost code accurately — coding to the wrong bucket destroys the company's ability to forecast and to price changes.

• Requisition material and consumables through the Superintendent; never commit to a vendor directly.
• Flag any direction that appears outside the normal scope of the task to the Superintendent immediately.

Quality & People

• Own quality at the point of installation; do not pass defective work down the line.
• Support Project Engineer inspections and hold points; do not cover or conceal work before it is verified.
• Train and mentor craft; identify capability gaps and high performers to the Superintendent.

Authority and Decision Rights

• No purchasing or commitment authority. Requisitions through the Superintendent.
• Assigns and directs the daily work of the assigned crew.
• Approves and submits crew daily timecards for Superintendent approval.
• Authority to remove an individual from a task for safety.
• Unlimited stop-work authority.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience, Education and Competency

• 5+ years' craft experience with demonstrated leadership; journeyman-level competence in the applicable service line — mechanical, structural, civil, concrete, piping or electrical.
• Able to read drawings and interpret installation details for the work being performed.
• Able to plan a shift, stage a work face and hold a crew to a productivity standard.
• MSHA Part 46/48; valid 5000-23; OSHA 30; first aid/CPR.
• Competent person designations as applicable to the crew's work.
• Qualified rigger and signal person where applicable; equipment operator certifications as required.

Required Site Credentials

• MSHA Part 46/48 training as applicable to the site, with a valid 5000-23 certificate.
• Company and client contractor orientation, and site-specific training, completed before site access.
• Valid driver's license and an insurable driving record where site or company driving is required.
• Ability to pass pre-employment and site-required screening, including fit-for-duty where applicable.
