Job summary

Miller Pipeline is seeking a Foreman in Pueblo West, CO to lead field crews in gas, water and sewer distribution projects. You will plan daily activities, supervise workers, and ensure safety, quality, and timely completion of tasks.

The role emphasizes hands-on leadership, problem-solving on-site, and close collaboration with customers and support staff. Join a 1953-established team with strong safety culture and great benefits.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong driving record and ability to maintain it.
  • DOT medical exam or ability to obtain one.
  • Experience with hand tools and on-site safety protocols.
  • Proven ability to interact professionally with customers and coworkers.
  • Willingness to travel within the area and respond to emergencies.
  • 3+ years in pipeline field work and management.

Responsibilities

  • Guide the crew towards goal achievement.
  • Plan, organize and delegate the daily work activities among crew members.
  • Identify potential problems; develop and implement solutions.
  • Enforce Company policies and standard work procedures.
  • Ensure compliance to safety rules and regulations for the safety of the crew and public.
  • Establish work performance standards based on daily project goals.
  • Coach, train and evaluate employees’ work performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair minor equipment problems.
  • Ensure preventive maintenance of equipment is assigned to, and completed by, the crew.
  • Interact with customers to explain the work procedures necessary at the worksite/residence.
  • Communicate with support staff regarding time worked, safety and productivity measures, accidents and injuries, and property or vehicle damage, for proper handling and tracking of these activities. Complete daily data entry.
  • Handle minor customer complaints and inquiries. Escalate issues to the superintendent or general foreman, if necessary.
  • Complete project paperwork as required by the customer.
  • Ensure that the overall quality of work performed by the crew meets or exceeds standards and expectations.

Miller Pipeline is accepting applications for Foreman on an ongoing basis. We are searching for qualified candidates to assist and support the repair, maintenance, construction, installation and reconditioning of distribution pipelines (gas, water and sewer).

Main Responsibilities:
  • Guide the crew towards goal achievement.

Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Current driver’s license with good driving record.
  • Current DOT physical or ability to obtain one.
  • Professional or personal use of hand tools.
  • Interact effectively and professionally with the public, customers, co-workers, and supervisors.
  • Travel throughout the area and respond to emergency situations.
  • 3+ years pipeline field work and management experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
  • 3+ years field work experience at Miller Pipeline.

Medical and pension benefits are available through the union, as well as a paid time off policy.

Pay Rate Range:

$31.44 - $39.79 an hour
