Job summary

Brown Industrial Construction in Baton Rouge, LA is seeking a motivated field supervisor to oversee the crew, coordinate multiple projects, and maintain a high standard of quality on site. You will direct daily tasks, ensure safety compliance, read construction plans, and operate equipment such as bucket trucks, pole trucks, and mini excavators while reporting progress and timecards.

Position Description

Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented individual to provide the necessary planning, direction, control, and supervision of the field crew to accomplish the requirements of all assigned projects efficiently while ensuring a high standard of quality.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment while maintaining strong communication and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities

• Leads construction crew to complete projects on schedule and budget.
• Required to pour concrete foundations, install underground conduit, pull wire, and install traffic signal poles and/or streetlight poles with luminaires.
• Must be able to operate mini excavator, bucket truck, and pole truck.
• Delegate daily work to crew members and supervise crew members on assignments.
• Ensure compliance with safety rules and regulations.
• Prepare field reporting, including daily foreman’s reports, safety reports, timecards, etc.
• Ensure all company policies are consistently followed by all personnel under their responsibility.
• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
