Job summary

A-jay Excavating Inc. is seeking an experienced Equipment Operator / Foreman to support underground utility and Earth Moving operations. You will safely operate Dozers, Scrapers, Excavators, Backhoes, Ship n Drag and other heavy equipment to install underground utilities and build civil projects from start to finish.

The ideal candidate has experience around underground utilities and understands utility locating, safe excavation, trenching, jobsite safety, and precision equipment operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years operating trenching, excavation, or similar heavy equipment.
• Experience around underground utilities and utility locating is preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret utility locates, site plans, and drawings.

Responsibilities

• Operate excavators, backhoes and other heavy equipment for underground utility installation.
• Conduct trenching and excavation for water, sewer, storm drain and other utilities.
• Perform pre-operational inspections and routine maintenance of equipment.
