Ceres Environmental Operations is seeking an experienced and hands-on Foreman to lead vegetation management and debris removal crews. This role is responsible for supervising and directing Trimmers and laborers while actively participating in field operations. The Working Foreman serves as the crew leader, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements.
This position reports directly to the Superintendent and is responsible for overseeing small field crews, assigning daily work activities, monitoring productivity, and enforcing safety standards. Success will be measured by maintaining a strong safety record, meeting production goals, developing crew members, and consistently delivering quality work while leading by example in the field.
This is a working leadership position, not a desk-based supervisory role. The Working Foreman is expected to actively perform the same physical work as the crew while providing day-to-day direction and oversight. You will spend the majority of your time outdoors managing field operations, assisting with vegetation clearing, cutting and removing limbs, collecting debris, and ensuring projects remain on schedule.
Work may occur in residential neighborhoods, rights-of-way, parks, utility corridors, and disaster-impacted areas. Crews frequently work in varying weather conditions including heat, cold, rain, humidity, and uneven terrain. Hours may fluctuate depending on operational demands, weather events, and emergency response activities.
Successful candidates thrive in a fast-paced environment, lead from the front, prioritize safety, and can effectively balance productivity with crew development and accountability.
