HCI Systems is seeking an experienced

Overview

HCI Systems is seeking an experienced Low Voltage Foreman to support our Multifamily Construction division. This position is responsible for leading field crews and overseeing low voltage installations to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with project plans and specifications. The ideal candidate is a hands‑on field leader with strong low voltage construction experience and the ability to manage crews, materials, schedules, and jobsite coordination.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee daily field operations and project progression on assigned jobsites.
  • Lead low voltage technicians by assigning work, monitoring productivity, providing technical guidance, and ensuring quality installations.
  • Coordinate with project managers, general contractors, electrical contractors, subcontractors, and other trades to maintain schedules and resolve field conflicts.
  • Review blueprints, specifications, submittals, schematics, and project documentation to plan and execute installations.
  • Manage project materials, MRFs, tools, equipment, manpower, and field resources.
  • Oversee installation, troubleshooting, testing, and commissioning of low voltage systems, including structured cabling, access control, CCTV, intrusion, fire alarm, and related systems.
  • Perform quality checks to ensure work meets project specifications, manufacturer requirements, applicable standards, and HCI expectations.
  • Identify out‑of‑scope work, material needs, schedule impacts, and potential change orders and communicate them to project management.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and provide regular updates regarding job progress, field conditions, manpower, and material requirements.
  • Train and mentor technicians to improve installation practices, technical skills, productivity, and overall job performance.
  • Enforce company and jobsite safety policies and procedures.
  • Support project installation through completion and closeout.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of low voltage installation experience, preferably in multifamily or commercial construction.
  • Previous experience leading crews as a Foreman, Lead Technician, or similar field leadership role.
  • Strong structured cabling and low voltage infrastructure experience.
  • Experience with access control, CCTV, intrusion, fire alarm, or other low voltage systems preferred.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, schematics, diagrams, and construction documents.
  • Strong understanding of low voltage installation, testing, troubleshooting, and construction practices.
  • Ability to effectively manage crews, materials, schedules, and jobsite priorities.
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to assigned project locations as required.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work in active indoor and outdoor construction environments.
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work at varying heights.
  • Ability to lift and carry tools, equipment, and materials associated with low voltage installation.

Pay Range

USD $40.00 - USD $48.00 /Hr.
