Job summary

A utility service company is seeking an experienced Lineman to lead a crew in safely completing tasks such as working on primary conductors and storm restoration. Ideal candidates should possess a Wood Pole Climbing Certificate, experience exceeding 5 years, and strong communication skills. Responsibilities also include conducting pre-job briefings and maintaining vehicles in good condition. The role requires working in various weather conditions and possible travel for stormwork.

• Attended Lineman School (preferred)

• Phasing out Conductors

Physical Demands

• Lifting in excess of 50 lbs.
• Climb Wood Poles
• Work heights up to 100’ or more

• Work in high and low temperatures
• Work on secondary conductors
• Work on primary conductors

Leadership

• Maintains Vehicles/Equipment in Good Working Condition
• Read and Follow Drawing and Blue Prints
• Make One Calls Before Digging
• Do Time, Inspections and Other Reports
• Perform other duties as needed

Travel

• Stay away from home on extended Storm Restoration efforts
