SMI Companies is seeking a Foreman to lead field crews on residential and commercial site development projects in Bowie, Maryland. The ideal candidate will supervise crews, coordinate daily operations, and manage subcontractors to ensure on-time, on-budget completion while maintaining safety.

Responsibilities include directing earthwork, utilities coordination, grading, erosion control, and stormwater management, with reporting to a Superintendent and a focus on quality and teamwork.

SMI Companies, an established residential and commercial site development contractor, is seeking a Foreman with a background in earthwork, underground utilities, heavy equipment, and crew supervision. The successful candidate will have strong interpersonal and organizational skills, the ability to manage subcontractors, and sound judgment in resolving field issues. Our Foremen direct their crews from project start through completion. The scope of our work includes grading, erosion control, underground utilities, and stormwater management. The Foreman reports to a Superintendent and is responsible for coordinating daily operations and supervising the crew. The Foreman is central to the successful completion of each project. The role requires leadership, experience in directing the work of others, and an uncompromising commitment to safety.
