Job description

School Faculty - High - Archbishop Coleman Carroll HS

Archbishop Coleman Carroll High School in Southwest Miami-Dade, Florida and has an opening for a Spanish Teacher for the upcoming 2026-27 academic year to start in August. The school seeks to hire and retain employees who are skilled in their field, desiring to work in a Christ-Centered environment and support the school’s mission. This teacher will be expected to plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for Spanish. This person performs all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami. Salary will vary based on certification and years of service.

Responsibilities include:
  • Provide clear and consistently high-quality Spanish instruction for students.
  • Create instructional lesson plans and activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in a meaningful learning experience.
  • Implement instructional strategies and resources that are aligned with rigor of a college preparatory high school and meet the needs of all students, including those with varying learning styles.
  • Work collaboratively with other faculty to foster an environment of continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree required in Spanish or Foreign Language Education preferred.
  • Master’s degree in Spanish preferred.
  • Valid Florida Department of Education Professional Educator’s Certificate for grades 6-12 preferred.
  • Minimum two (2) years of Experience.
  • Able to work well in a team environment with other professionals, peers, and parents.
  • Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing using correct English grammar.
  • Demonstrated technology skills with digital books and interactive classroom technology.
