Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in MIS, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or related field, or 5 years of hands-on experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis, forecasting, or related field.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python.
  • Knowledge of data quality governance, validation, load data management, and forecasting methodologies.
  • Experience in cloud-based data environments, including Databricks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve data inconsistencies across sources.
  • Experience developing automated data processes and dashboards to improve forecasting outputs and operations.
  • Ability to collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to scale solutions and drive improvement.

What You Can Expect

As our Forecasting Solutions Analyst II, you will support the end-to-end lifecycle of energy load data, including acquisition, validation, analysis, and forecasting. You will work closely with Pricing, Portfolio Management, IT, and Middle Office teams to ensure data quality and enable accurate forecasting and commercial decision-making. In this role, you will identify risks associated with customer load profiles and market dynamics while contributing to improved customer outcomes through cleaner, more reliable data.

You will also play a key role in transforming legacy processes into scalable, automated, and harmonized solutions. Your success will be measured by your ability to improve data completeness, enhance forecasting accuracy, and deliver actionable insights that drive business performance and risk mitigation. This position sits in Houston, TX reporting to the Forecasting Solutions Manager

What You'll Bring
  • You hold a Bachelor's degree in Management Information Systems, Engineering, Mathematics, Economics, or a related discipline. In lieu of a degree, we will consider five (5) years of relevant hands‑on work experience demonstrating strong technical, analytical, and problem‑solving skills
  • A minimum of Two (2) years of experience in data analysis, forecasting, or a related field
  • You have advanced proficiency in SQL and Python, with experience working with large datasets and time‑series data
  • You are knowledgeable in data quality governance, validation practices, load data management, and forecasting methodologies
  • You have experience working in cloud‑based data environments, including platforms such as Databricks
  • You are highly analytical with strong problem‑solving skills and the ability to identify, investigate, and resolve inconsistencies across multiple data sources
  • You have experience developing automated data processes, dashboards, and solutions that improve data quality, forecasting outputs, and operational performance
  • You are a strong collaborator who can partner effectively with technical and business stakeholders to scale solutions, optimize processes, and drive continuous improvement

  • This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy; consisting of in‑office and work‑from‑home opportunities

Compensation

Salary Range: $63,300 - $96,945 USD annually

This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate.

ENGIE complies with all federal, state, and local minimum wage laws. Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.

In addition to base pay, this position is eligible for a competitive bonus / incentive plan.
