Job summary

Prosper-Ford is seeking an experienced Ford Certified Transmission Technician to join our Service Department. This role specializes in diagnosing, repairing, rebuilding, and replacing automatic and manual transmissions in Ford and Lincoln vehicles, using Ford factory procedures and state-of-the-art tools to deliver high-quality, warranty-compliant work.

You will remove and reinstall transmissions, test-drive for proper shifting, document all work, and collaborate with advisors and parts staff to

Qualifications

• Ford Certification required (STST or equivalent).
• High school diploma or GED.
• 2–3 years of hands-on transmission diagnosis/repair experience (Ford dealership preferred).
• Valid driver's license with clean record.
• Own a complete set of professional tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose transmission concerns using Ford diagnostic equipment.
• Perform complete transmission inspections, fluid services, and rebuilds.
• Remove, disassemble, rebuild, and reinstall transmissions.
• Test-drive to verify shifts and drivability per specs.
• Document work and communicate findings to Service Advisors.
• Stay current with Ford TSBs and recalls.
• Collaborate with technicians and parts staff to ensure workflow.
