Ford Racing is seeking a Chassis Systems Engineer to analyze and integrate chassis components to meet vehicle-level performance targets. You will serve as the SPOC for suspension hardpoints and ensure CAE models and test outputs align with program requirements.
You will partner with D&R, Vehicle Engineering, and cross-functional teams to set targets, maintain health charts, and support development milestones across Ford Racing production vehicles.
Ford Racing chassis systems engineer focused on analysis and integration of chassis components to deliver vehicle level performance targets on future Ford Racing production vehicles. The Chassis Systems Engineer is responsible for integrating the chassis components into a vehicle level system. This role will partner closely with D&R engineers, Vehicle Engineering, Vehicle Dynamics, and cross-functional teams to establish vehicle kinematic and compliance targets, maintain system health chart documentation, support development milestones, and ensure chassis-related data, ADAMS models, and test outputs align with program requirements.
The Chassis Systems engineer is the single point of contact for suspension hardpoints and the vehicle ADAMS CAE model. At each milestone they assess the Chassis Systems health chart metrics and work with the component engineers to meet the requirements.
Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for chassis design issues. Ensure compatibility between chassis components including bushing, ball joint, and threaded fastener joint designs.
Coordinate durability vehicle preparation and testing ensuring part pedigree matches the CAE model. Lead problem solving efforts for chassis component issues.
Support the testing, prototype, launch builds and ongoing production of Ford Racing vehicles at assembly plants and test facilities. Set targets for vehicle ride height and alignment, evaluate status at vehicle builds, and cascade travel and check load requirements to shock and spring suppliers.
Interface daily with other a global team of D&R engineers, vehicle attribute teams, program management, suppliers, and manufacturing to ensure compliance with required specifications and critical decisions are made efficiently.

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $86,600-$144,900.
This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$166,200.
Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.
