Job summary

RiverTech, an Akima company, seeks a Resource Protection Analyst to support USAFCENT access entry control operations at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, SC. The role entails evaluating security systems, performing site surveys, and coordinating with security teams to protect government property and personnel.

The position is full-time and on-site with no remote options, requiring active Secret clearance and hands-on management of access hardware, software, and policy enforcement.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma/GED.
• Three (3) years’ experience with entry control procedures, CCTV operations, and badge issuance.
• Active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical expertise in AFCENT access entry control operations and protect government property.
• Participate in access entry control and sensor systems implementation, maintenance, testing, and documentation.
• Perform physical security site surveys and recommend improvements for exterior and interior security.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve security concerns; assist in policy development.
• Enforce compliance with security directives and respond to alarms.
• Assess security controls to prevent unauthorized access or disclosure.
• Perform DISS functions including clearance verification and visit requests.
• Review security clearances and credentials; advise on changes.
• Assist in access control functions, credential issuance, and policy explanations.
• Consult with security specialists to develop protection procedures for approval.
• Operate VICADS architecture and store images from VCRs for multiple facilities.
• Assist with IP networking, Windows servers/workstations, CCDE and video surveillance.
• Oversee VICADS configuration including alarm priorities and PTZ presets.
• Escort designated personnel into controlled premises during operations.
• Conduct office orientation training for new personnel.
• Assist AFCENT in expediting entry/exit during emergencies and coordinate responders’ access.
