Under the supervision and direction of a provider (physician or advanced practice clinician) or Medical Office Nurse Coordinator, the certified Medical Assistant performs duties that are consistent with his/her Medical Assistant education, training, experience and certification.***Education*** • High school diploma/GED required • Completion of Medical Assistant program accredited or approved by the Washington Department of Health required ***Experience*** One year of experience in health care in an outpatient clinic preferred (experience specific to the type of clinic being hired for is preferred) ***Licensure/Credentials*** • Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 30 days of hire. • Current Medical Assistant – Certification issued by the WA State Department of Health.
