Job summary

Scheels is looking for a merchandiser to support store operations in Appleton, WI. You will unload freight, tag and price items, restock shelves, and help customers and sales associates locate and load purchases.

You will follow Line Leader checklists and merchandising guides, coordinate with Specialty Shop Managers on shop moves, and maintain clean, organized workspaces. Expect varied shifts, including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 months of related experience or training.
• Ability to sit/stand, lift up to 100 lbs occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Unload freight and tag, fold, hang, and price merchandise.
• Restock and display products on the sales floor.
• Assist customers and team members with loading purchases.
• Follow merch guides and shop priorities for displays.
• Coordinate with shop managers on moves and mannequin placement.
• Maintain an orderly store and back stock areas.
• Work independently and with the team; adapt to varied hours.

Responsibilities:

• Unload product from freight. Tag, fold, hang, and price merchandise to be put out on the sales floor or in back stock
• Restock merchandise on the sales floor and bring products to the floor for display
• Assist customers and sales associates with retrieving and loading purchased products
• Follow the Line Leader checklist, walk-through notes, and merch guides to prioritize the needs of the shops
• Coordinate with Specialty Shop Managers and display teams on shop moves and mannequin placement
• Maintain an orderly appearance with general cleaning and organization around the store and back stock areas
• Ability to be organized, multitask, have problem-solving skills, and maintain all aspects of a merchandiser role
• Ability to work independently and with the team
• Exercise judgment and tact, and be able to effectively work with all levels within the organization
• Demonstrates attention to detail
• Willing to do other tasks as assigned by the leadership team and Merchandising Lead
• Work assigned schedule; may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), 1-3 months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Very heavy work -

Exerting in excess of 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or in excess of 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Physical demand requirements are in excess of those for heavy work.
