Job summary

Skechers is seeking a Footwear Commercialization & Quality Specialist to drive the transition from development to commercialization and production. You will independently manage reviews, evaluate fit and workmanship, and partner with global teams to resolve issues while maintaining clear documentation in PLM systems.

The role requires hands‑on footwear industry experience, strong product judgment, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant industry experience.
• 3+ years of experience in footwear development, commercialization, product engineering, manufacturing, production, or related footwear function.
• Working knowledge of footwear construction, materials, fit, manufacturing processes, and product quality standards.
• Ability to interpret product specifications and compare production execution against approved standards.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with ability to identify risk and recommend practical solutions.
• Strong organizational and project‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple products and competing priorities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills with cross‑functional and global partners.
• Experience with PLM systems and Microsoft Office applications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Independently manage Commercialization and Production reviews for assigned footwear divisions while meeting timelines and quality expectations.
• Evaluate footwear for fit, construction, workmanship, materials, specifications, functionality, and overall execution against approved product standards.
• Review Commercialization samples, First Pairs, Production Cases, and New Factory Cases to validate readiness.
• Identify fit, quality, construction and production risks; provide clear recommendations and escalate concerns when appropriate.
• Partner with Product Development, Quality Assurance, Production, Product teams, Asia teams, and global factory partners to resolve product issues and support timely decision‑making.
• Maintain accurate product decisions, status, and supporting documentation within PLM and tracking systems.
• Communicate risks and manage workload independently to avoid timing or quality issues.
• Support fit sessions, product reviews, and Production activities as required.
• Contribute to root‑cause analysis and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
