Job summary

Altra is seeking an Inline 3D CAD Footwear Designer to bring inline products to life through advanced 3D design. You will work with Footwear Design, Development, Product Management and Innovation teams to build digital products that accelerate concepting and streamline commercialization.

You will translate design intent into accurate 3D models, 3D prints and visual assets, collaborating across teams to balance performance, manufacturability, and cost.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of professional experience in footwear design or 3D modeling.
• Proficiency with Rhino 3D, Blender, SolidWorks or similar software.
• Understanding of footwear construction and manufacturing processes.
• Ability to create rapid concept models and production-ready geometry.
• Strong visualization and rendering to communicate ideas.

Responsibilities

• Create high-quality 3D models of footwear concepts and tooling from concept to production.
• Collaborate with designers to translate sketches into digital 3D form.
• Develop renderings to communicate ideas, material, and color execution.
• Support rapid digital prototyping to accelerate decisions and reduce cycles.
• Coordinate with Development and Product Management to balance performance and cost.
• Maintain digital model integrity and support handoff to factories.
