Prep Network is seeking a Showcase Director to organize and operate nationwide youth basketball tournaments and showcases. You will be the face of the events team, ensuring first-class experiences for players and teams.

You will plan, execute, and manage event logistics, collaborating with HQ and staff to ensure smooth check-in, run of show, and on-site coaching support. This role combines travel with weekend events and a strong emphasis on team leadership.

Qualifications

• Current or past basketball coach with strong passion for the game.
• Solid multi-tasking and prioritization of competing priorities.
• Experience running events or camps with 50-300 participants and a coaching team.
• Proven ability to decide under pressure and solve problems on the fly.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Execute event setup, check-in, and run of show; manage staff.
• Lead planning and organization with HQ team; prep checklists.
• Communicate with facility contacts, check-in workers, coaches, and officials.
• Think quickly and adapt to on-site situations both within and outside control.

Job Summary

We are a rapidly growing sports-focused company looking for the consummate team player to help us organize and operate youth basketball tournaments and showcases nationwide. As a Showcase Director, you will be responsible for the planning and execution of events. You will be the face of our events team and responsible for upholding our standard of first-class tournaments and showcases at locations around the country. Leverage the tools, training, and resources we provide to create an elite experience for players and teams.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Event Execution. Our directors are responsible for carrying out all event set-up, check in, and run of show as well as managing all staff. You'll be working closely with the event coaching staff to ensure the best experience for all in attendance.
• Planning and Organizing. Leading up to the event, you will collaborate with our event team at headquarters, organizing all details and checklists that go into the preparation of an event
• Communication. You will be responsible for communicating with all event staff including facility contacts, check-in workers, coaches and officials assignors
• Problem-Solving. You should be able to think on your feet and adjust to certain situations that are both in and out of your control.
• Communication. You should have the ability to speak in front of a group 50-300 players/parents and deliver a motivational message.

Qualifications And Skills

• Coach. It is required that you are a current or past basketball coach and have a strong passion for the game
• Organized. Strong ability to multitask and prioritize competing priorities
• Event Management. Experience in running events or camps with 50-300 participants and a team of coaches.
• Decisive and Problem Solving. Proven ability to make decisions under pressure and solve problems on the fly
• Personable. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
• People Management. Experience working with and managing groups of people of 10 or more
• Google Apps. Proficient in working in Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc

Benefits and Perks

• Pay. Showcase Directors will be paid $530 for one event, plus any expenses related to the event (rental car, hotel, meals, gas) will be paid for by Prep Network
• Awesome Talent. In addition to running the event, you'll get to see some of the top athletes in the country who will go on and play at the collegiate level
• Flexible Schedule. We run events nearly every weekend from Feb. - April. Our directors can choose to work locally or travel, and they decide which weekends they go out.
