Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse with NP certification in Michigan.
• NPs must have specialty certification (Adult-Gerontology, Family or Adult Primary Care).
• Graduate of an accredited NP program with NCSBN-recognized NP certification.
• Current DEA and AHA BLS required; experience with surgical patients.
• One year Orthopaedic Surgery experience as PA/NP or strong rotation experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgeons in diagnosis and treatment of orthopaedic foot and ankle patients in various settings.
• Provide continuity of care in outpatient, preop and postop settings; manage non-operative patients.
• Perform history and physicals; present data to medical staff.
• Assist in imaging/lab report interpretation and coordination of care plans.
• Perform minor procedures and assist in OR as needed; participate in quality improvement.
• Coordinate with healthcare providers and support staff to ensure patient care.
