St. Anthony is seeking a friendly, reliable dietary aide to support hospital food service operations. You will assist with meal trays, transport carts, and helping patients with menu choices in a compassionate, patient-centered manner.

In this role you may handle dishwashing, pantry restocking, and light food preparation in a cafeteria setting, with POS transactions and safety procedures emphasized. Teamwork and adherence to hospital standards are essential.

• Assist coworkers assembling meal trays, transporting tray carts, and delivering meals to patients.
• Sorts soiled and clean dishes and utensils and uses a commercial dish machine. Washes pots and pans.
• Assist patients and residents with menu selections in a one on one setting.
• Inventory pantries and restock items.
• May work in a Caf setting, performing financial transactions using a Point of Sale system, restocking food and beverage selections, and some light food preparation.
• Cleans assigned areas following established cleaning procedures and schedules.
• Works willingly and accepts assignments as given.
• Attends all mandatory meetings and programs.
• Participates in opportunities that enhance personal and professional growth.
• Performs other duties as necessary or assigned.

The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, extreme heat and cold, wet floors, and moving mechanical parts. Exposure to sharp-edged utensils and containers, moving equipment and machinery. Frequent exposure to moving machinery and cleaning, disinfecting chemicals, heating appliances and cooking apparatus. Frequent exposure to chemicals including cleaning solutions, perfumes, dyes, etc.

Due to the nature of business in a health care setting, although risk is minimal, any employee of St. Anthony may be exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, blood borne pathogens, unpleasant sights, odors, and/or materials in patient care and/or provider work areas.
