Job summary

Hershey Entertainment and Resorts is seeking a part-time Foods Team Member to support Food & Beverage operations at Hersheypark within the Hershey Entertainment Complex.

You will greet guests, take orders, prepare and serve items, ring in orders, and maintain clean work areas, while delivering friendly, efficient service and upholding food safety standards. This role offers flexible shifts, employee perks such as free park admission and parking, and eligibility for discounts.

Qualifications

• Must be 16 years of age or older on the date of applying.
• Customer service orientation and ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor food environment.
• Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 20 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take Food & Beverage orders while communicating with other team members within the scheduled location.
• Prepare and serve Food & Beverage items to guests.
• Ring in and properly tender orders into a register.
• Clean, sanitize, and sweep/mop work areas including food contact surfaces.
• Maintain food prep areas in accordance with food safety guidelines.
• Store and rotate stock and food items within assigned locations.
• Complete mandatory food safety and temperature control logs.
• Open and close procedures for the assigned location as directed by shift supervisors.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Hersheypark amusement park spans 121 acres and welcomes guests to experience Hersheypark Happy all year long. As the largest amusement park in Pennsylvania, Hersheypark is home to more than 70 rides including 15 coasters and 20+ kiddie rides, as well as a zoo, and an entire water park.

As a Foods Team Member, you will assist in a Food and Beverage capacity in a variety of locations within the Hersheypark Entertainment Complex. The Foods Team Member is responsible for providing excellent customer service and preparing food for guests.

Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job)

• Greet guests and take Food & Beverage orders while communicating with other team members within the employee’s scheduled location*
• Prepare and serve Food & Beverage items to guests*
• Ring in and properly tender orders into a register*
• Clean, sanitize, and sweep/mop work areas to include food contact surfaces, patio/condiment areas, and floors/walkways*
• Clean and maintain food prep areas in accordance with proper food safety guidelines*
• Store and rotate stock and food items within assigned work locations *
• Complete mandatory food safety and temperature control logs*
• Perform opening and closing procedures related to the assigned Food & Beverage location as directed by shift supervisors *
• Perform other duties as assigned

Job Demands

• During Memorial Day through Labor Day, must be able to work 2 shifts per week if 14‑15 years old, 3 shifts per week if 16‑17 years old, and 4 shifts per week if 18 years or older. Must be able to work one shift per week in the off‑season.
• Must be available to work either three shifts during the week or one shift per weekend, Memorial Day through Labor Day, and one operational shift per week in the off‑season
• Physical requirements include the ability to stand for up to eight hours at a time, walk, bend at the waist and knees and have repeated manual dexterity, and the ability to push, pull, and reach above shoulder level, and lift up to twenty (20) pounds without assistance
• Employees are subject to a variety of weather conditions, including but not limited to extreme heat, sun exposure, cold, and inclement weather. Work is almost exclusively outdoors.
• Must be able to withstand the temperatures of a kitchen/food stand environment
• Must be comfortable with exposure to cleaning chemicals
• Employee must provide proper footwear (all black, non‑skid/non‑slip sneakers)
