Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring immediately for a Food Unit Lead at Nemours Children's Hospital in Wilmington, DE. This full-time position offers a fixed pay rate of $20.00 per hour with rotating day schedules, including 12:00pm - 8:30pm and 11:00am - 7:30pm, with weekends and holidays rotating.

Prior supervisory experience in food service is required. You will supervise kitchen and dining staff, ensure quality service, manage food prep, sanitation, and safety, and assist

• Ability to supervise and coordinate kitchen staff and dining service.
• Strong customer service and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities of other food-service employees.
• Oversees preparation and service of food and beverages per standards.
• Supervises meal service and ensures timeliness and quality.
• Trains staff and assigns work, develops schedules.
• Manages inventory, reports, and cash handling per policy.
• Ensures sanitation and safety in kitchen and dining areas.
• Orders supplies from approved vendors and tracks usage.
