Job summary

Chartwells School Dining Services K12 is looking for a part-time delivery driver for their East Windsor Regional operations to deliver food and supplies. The role involves picking up requisitions, loading orders safely, and maintaining vehicle cleanliness. Ideal candidates should have experience driving a box truck and meeting food safety standards.

Job Summary

Delivers food, supplies and other products to units and areas of service using a vehicle.

Location and Schedule

East Windsor Regional – 25 Leshin Lane, Hightstown, NJ 08520.

Part‑time schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 2:00 pm (school days only).

Compensation

Hourly rate: $19.75 per hour.

Requirements

Prior experience driving a box truck with liftgate and food service experience preferred. Position may require lifting up to 50 lbs.

Valid state driver’s license and a valid food handler’s permit where required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Picks up requisitioned supplies from staging clerk.
• Receives completed production orders from staging clerk and inventories items to ensure completion of production orders.
• Loads orders onto truck with assistance of staging clerks in a safe, orderly manner.
• Unloads requisitioned materials at delivery site.
• Follows sanitation and safety guidelines when handling food and equipment.
• Ensures hot and cold food items are kept in compliance with company standards and meet all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Collects empty containers and rejected or unsold merchandise.
• Maintains general cleanliness of the assigned vehicle.
• Performs routine maintenance on the truck.
• Interacts with coworkers to ensure company service standards.
• Provides quality customer service with one‑on‑one attention to detail.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Because this position requires you to perform services in an educational facility, there may be periods when the Company does not require you to perform work during winter and summer breaks. Any such periods will be unpaid and deemed a temporary layoff. Depending on business needs, you may be required to work year‑round, possibly at a different location during break periods.
