Job summary

ExecuSource seeks a Food Technologist – Meat Systems (R&D) in Omaha, NE, with openings in Crete or Lincoln as alternatives. You will lead product development from concept through commercialization, and conduct pilot plant trials to refine formulations, improving quality and performance.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Food Science or related field with 2+ years meat processing experience (Master’s considered). Onsite daily with relocation benefits and strong company perks.

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Biology, Microbiology, Animal Science, or related field plus 2+ years of meat processing plant experience; OR Master’s degree in a related field in lieu of experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead product development from concept through commercialization, including new products and line extensions.
• Conduct pilot plant and production trials to refine formulations and improve product quality; develop and adjust formulations using online systems and maintain accurate documentation.
• Collaborate cross-functionally.
• Provide clear project updates and support R&D efforts with prototype development.
• Ensure compliance with USDA and FDA regulations while maintaining detailed project files, specifications, and product data.

Pay: $75k (+ bonus potential + annual merit increases)

Research & Development Technologist leading cost-optimization projects through advanced formulation and processing improvements, while developing innovative prototypes that enhance product quality and performance.
