Reed Specialist Recruitment Ltd. is seeking a Food Technologist for a hybrid role in Surrey with a leading international food manufacturer. You will manage day-to-day technical requirements for customer accounts, support launches, and ensure compliance with food safety standards.

You will collaborate with manufacturing sites, commercial teams and retailers to deliver high-quality products and drive improvements across branded and own-label portfolios, with opportunities for career development.

Qualifications

• Food Science degree or equivalent qualification required.
• Experience in a food manufacturing technical or quality role.
• Proficient with HACCP, food safety and BRC standards.
• Experience with retailer/foodservice specifications systems.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• Full UK driving licence and willing to travel occasionally.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day technical requirements for customer accounts.
• Coordinate own-label product launches from approval through to market launch.
• Complete and maintain customer specifications, technical documentation and online retailer portals.
• Support customer audits, technical reviews and compliance activities.
• Investigate and respond to customer complaints, driving corrective actions where required.
• Review artwork and product information to ensure legal and technical compliance.
• Work closely with manufacturing sites, commercial teams and customers to deliver excellent service.
• Support new product development projects across both branded and own-label portfolios.
• Conduct product quality assessments and sensory evaluations.

Join a Leading International Food Manufacturer

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a proactive and detail-oriented Food Technologist to join a highly successful food manufacturing business with a strong presence across UK retail and foodservice markets.

This role sits within a customer-facing technical team and offers the chance to manage key customer accounts, support new product launches, and play a vital role in ensuring food safety, quality, and compliance standards are consistently achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day technical requirements for customer accounts.
• Coordinate own-label product launches from approval through to market launch.
• Complete and maintain customer specifications, technical documentation and online retailer portals.
• Support customer audits, technical reviews and compliance activities.

About You

To be successful, you will ideally have:
