Job Description

Responsible for performing a wide range of duties involved with preparing and/or serving foods and beverages in one or more of a variety of food service environments. Prepares salad items, hot food and or cold food.

Principle Accountabilities:

• Works in a retail and patient service environment.
• Assembles and delivers meal trays for patients, restocks items on workstations, collects soiled dishes, scrap trays and washes, sanitized and restocks flatware and silverware.
• Interacts with patients in taking meal orders and delivering meal trays.
• Monitors patient and retail food lines and tests trays for quality, temperature and food safety.
• Informs department leadership of any safety issues on units, cafeteria or in the kitchen.
• Restocks products for patient use on the tray line.
• Removes trash from Kitchen.
• Maintains the high standards of AHS in creating appealing presentation and food preparation.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required:

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

Preferred:

• At least one (1) year of food service or retail customer service experience.
