Job summary

Jefferson Parish Schools CHILD NUTRITION in Marrero, LA is hiring a Food Services Systems Computer Repair Technician to manage hardware/software installation and maintenance for the Food Services Department, serving as liaison with software vendors and district departments.

The role also supports the Food Services Application Manager duties across site visits, training, and issue resolution, with readiness for after-hours on-call tasks and a strong focus on data and problem-solving.

Qualifications

• Accredited technical training or equivalent experience.
• Experience with FoodService software.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Professionalism and cross-department collaboration.
• Knowledge of district software used by Food Services.

Responsibilities

• Maintain DC lists.
• Manage website for food services.
• Track site health inspections.
• Respond to cafeteria and central office software/hardware issues.
• Visit schools or work remotely to resolve reported issues.
• Collaborate with JPSTechnology Department for help.
• Install hardware and software in cafeteria and Food Services.
• Repair and refurbish department hardware.
• Recommend purchases of hardware and ancillary items.
• Oversee software rollover process before school begins.
• Track and troubleshoot daily communications between Food Services and SIS software.
• Liaison between Food Services software vendors and other JPS.
• Conduct or assist in training for Food Services.
• Handle tasks on call after standard work hours.
• Maintain log of software issues and resolutions.
• Crosstrained in Food Services Application Manager tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
