Bureau of Prisons/Federal Prison System in West Virginia seeks a Food Services Assistant to support corrections operations by handling written materials, data entry, and reporting tasks. You will help ensure accurate records and secure document handling in a structured environment.
Responsibilities include typing and proofreading a wide range of correspondence, entering data in Food Service programs, maintaining files, and preparing periodic reports for regional offices while supporting security

Types and proof reads a wide range of correspondence, memorandums, reports and other written material. Enters and retrieves data, using Food Service programs, on a personal computer and maintains disks with back-up copies. Maintains systematic files, ledgers, stock index records, inventory accountability procedures through posting receivers. Prepares monthly, quarterly and annual reports for submission to the Regional and Central Offices.
Along with all other correctional institution employees, incumbent is charged with responsibility for maintaining security of the institution. The staff correctional responsibilities precede all others required by this position and are performed on a regular and recurring basis.
