Qualifications

• Food Service Certificate as needed.
• Sufficient education or training to read, write, and follow verbal and written instructions.
• Be able to work quickly and concisely under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Prepare quality food and baked goods per menu.
• Prepare a daily report verifying transactions.
• Understand what is included in a meal.
• Ensure storage of food in a sanitary manner.
• Serve food according to meal schedules and policies.
• Use and care of kitchen equipment, especially knives.
• Prepare a variety of food items, beverages, on time.
• Add garnishments for customer appeal.
• Coordinate cleaning of refrigerators, freezers, and equipment.
• Adhere to food safety regulations for sanitation and storage.
• Follow the uniform policy.
• Consult with the Manager daily to plan the day.
• Supervise food temperature requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work/storage area.
• Scrub and sanitize counters and steam tables.
• Follow cleanliness procedures to ensure a safe environment; duties include sweeping, mopping, ware washing.
• Maintain neat garbage collection and kitchen areas.
• Perform other duties including other kitchen areas.
• Role may have physical demands and PPE requirements.
