Job summary

A school dining services provider in Texarkana seeks a dedicated individual to prepare, present, and serve food efficiently. Responsibilities include food preparation, adhering to safety standards, and ensuring customer satisfaction. Prior experience in food service is preferred but not necessary. This part-time position operates Monday through Friday, offering a fixed pay rate of $12.00 per hour and various employee benefits, including a retirement plan and health programs.

• Prepares, presents and serves food as needed.
• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator.
• Stores food in designated areas following safety procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies and utensils.
• Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards.
• Serves customers in a friendly manner.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with service standards and cash control.
• Assures compliance with sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety and rotation procedures.
• Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Assures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Location & Schedule

Location: Texarkana PSD - 1402 East 19th Street, Texarkana, AR 71854. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Part time schedule; Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 2:30 pm. More details upon interview.
