Job summary

Chartwells K12 is seeking a part-time Food Service Worker at 401 North Division Street, Harvard, IL 60033. The role runs 6:00 am to 2:00 pm (schedule may vary) with a pay range of $15.00–$16.00 per hour. Internal employee referral bonus available. Prior food service experience is required.

Responsibilities include food preparation, serving, safety compliance, and inventory control. Benefits are available for eligible positions, with ongoing opportunities during the school dining program.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, presents, and serves food as required.
• Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weighs and measures designated ingredients.
• Transfers pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Stores food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
• Clears and cleans work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment.
• Utilizes approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and portion control.
• Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolves customer concerns and relays relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensures compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash control procedures.
• Ensures compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
