Position Overview

Food Service Worker (On Call) at East Pennsboro Area School District, 890 Panther Parkway, Enola, PA 17025. Pay: $12.00–$15.00 per hour. The position is on‑call schedule Monday‑Friday, daylight hours; no nights, no weekends, summers off. Preferred: prior food service experience. The role may involve temporary layoff during school breaks.

Responsibilities

• Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Store food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
• Utilize approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with company service standards, inventory, and cash control procedures.
• Assure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Preferred: prior food service experience. Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation. Florida Level 2 background screening may be required.
