Position: Food Service Worker

The Food Service Worker may work anywhere on property where food is prepared. Responsibilities include assisting in setup and serving of food from counters and steamtables, cleaning and sanitizing equipment and work stations, and maintaining kitchen areas, equipment, and utensils. Additional responsibilities may be assigned by City of Hope.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and store hot and cold foods following recipes and using kitchen equipment.
  • Set up, serve, and replenish food at stations.
  • Assist customers as needed.
  • Maintain inventory, restock supplies, and keep records for supplies and equipment.
  • Clean and sanitize workstations, utensils, and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation standards.
  • Perform general cleaning tasks including dishwashing, polishing silverware, sweeping, mopping, and trash disposal.
  • Attend required training sessions, safety meetings, and hazard assessments.
  • Assist with trayline food distribution as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
  • 1 year of food service experience preferred.
Additional Information:
  • Full-Time position
  • Evening shifts from 1-9 pm
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays
  • Dishwashing responsibilities included

City of Hope employees' pay is based on work experience, qualifications, and work location.
