Job summary

Memorial Hospital Belleville and Memorial Hospital Shiloh are currently seeking a dedicated Food & Nutrition team member for a part-time role. The position supports patient and staff nutr ition needs, with 32 hours per week and two shift options: 6:30AM–3:30PM or 3:30PM–7:30PM.

The successful candidate will perform food service tasks, maintain sanitation, assemble patient meals, and assist with customer requests while following safety guidelines.

Qualifications

• No experience required.

Overview

Memorial Hospital Belleville is an acute care hospital offering medical and surgical services plus critical and emergency care including Children’s at Memorial for pediatric emergency care. It provides patients a full complement of diagnostic and treatment services as well as heart and vascular care. Memorial, offering medical and surgical services plus critical care, is an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI by the Society of Cardiovascular Patient Care and is designated as an Acute Stroke Ready Hospital by the Illinois Department of Public Health. In addition, Memorial Belleville recently was accredited by the American College of Radiology as a designated Lung Cancer Screening Center. Since 2008, it has been designated as a Magnet®-recognized organization for nursing excellence by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.

Memorial Hospital Shiloh, a 94-bed, all-private suite hospital was recognized with Magnet status in 2018 and provides emergency care, labor & delivery, nursery, medical and surgical services plus critical care.

The Food & Nutrition Department is responsible for providing high quality nutrtion services to patients, staff and visitors on a daily basis. Services also include vending machines and meeting/special event catering.

Role Purpose

Responsible for performing a variety of food service functions such as setting up of service areas with food, utensils, and garnishments, food portioning, serving, sanitation, operating cash register, assembling patient trays and assisting with customer requests. Position may also perform food preparation at some locations.
