Job summary

Chartwells K-12 in Harper Creek Community Schools is seeking a cafeteria worker to prepare, present and serve food in a school setting, supporting daily meals and food service operations.

Full‑time and part‑time positions available with schedules 7:30 AM to 2:00 PM; pay ranges from $15.00 to $20.00 per hour, with benefit eligibility described by the employer.

Qualifications

• Perform prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting, and seeding fruits and vegetables.
• Weigh and measure designated ingredients.
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from work stations, stove, and refrigerator in accordance with safety standards.
• Store food in designated areas following wrapping, dating, food safety, and rotation procedures.
• Clean work areas, equipment, and utensils.
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
• Utilize approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures, and standard portion control.
• Serve customers in a friendly, efficient manner following outlined steps of service.
• Resolve customer concerns and relay relevant information to supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with company service standards and inventory and cash‑control procedures.
• Assure compliance with all sanitation and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
